When families face the realities of dementia, chronic illness, or the everyday challenges of aging, it can feel overwhelming. Questions pile up quickly: Where do we start? Who do we call? How do we make the right decisions for today—and for the future?
That’s where a Certified Care Manager (CMC) comes in.
What Is a Care Manager?
A Certified Care Manager is a professional trained to guide individuals and families through the complex world of aging, dementia, and long-term care planning. Care managers provide holistic support that touches every part of life—medical, emotional, social, functional, and financial. My role is not to replace your doctor, lawyer, or financial advisor, but to coordinate, clarify, and connect all the moving parts so you can focus on what matters most: your loved one’s well-being and your family’s peace of mind.
At StilMee Florida, I bring together my training as a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer (CADDCT), and Certified Care Manager (CMC) to offer a personalized, compassionate approach. My work is rooted in the StilMee philosophy of doing with—not just for—the person in care .
Why Families Choose Care Management
Life doesn’t pause for illness or caregiving. Many families are stretched thin trying to balance jobs, children, personal health, and the growing needs of an aging parent or spouse. A care manager helps by:
Creating Clarity: Sorting through medical reports, appointments, and resources so you understand what’s happening and what options you have.
Providing Advocacy: Ensuring your voice is heard and your loved one’s dignity and preferences remain central in every decision .
Reducing Stress: Offering strategies that help prevent caregiver burnout, family conflict, and decision fatigue.
Saving Time and Money: Connecting you with the right services and professionals—at the right time—so you don’t waste resources on trial and error.
Planning Ahead: Helping families consider not just today’s needs, but also tomorrow’s, from advance care planning to transitions in living arrangements .
What Care Management Looks Like in Action
Every situation is unique, but here are some examples of how I support families:
A husband caring for a wife with early-onset Alzheimer’s who feels isolated and exhausted. Together we create a care plan that includes respite, children’s support, and structured routines.
An adult daughter living out of state who needs a professional advocate on the ground to ensure her parents’ safety and quality of life.
A senior facing multiple health issues who wants to remain at home but needs help coordinating medical care, home modifications, and support services.
In each case, the outcome is the same: relief, confidence, and restored balance.
Why Work With Me
As owner of StilMee Florida, I combine professional credentials with personal compassion. Families trust me because I:
Approach every client with dignity and respect.
Offer clear communication and transparency in services .
Collaborate with healthcare providers, attorneys, financial planners, and community resources to create a seamless circle of support .
Understand the emotional toll of caregiving and provide not only plans, but also encouragement.
Most importantly, I believe that every person has value, purpose, and a story worth honoring—no matter where they are on the journey of aging or dementia.
